Just wondered if anyone has replaced their MAF with one from a breakers yard. I need a new one but i don't know whether to get a re con from SEAT or a 2nd hand one from a scrappy. Any thoughts?

What one you got? I got mine off ebay germany as only place that had one with the same part number n it was that that started the whole rocky road of buying stuff from there:ban: cost me £25 delivered n that was giving him extra to cover exchange etc, turned out wasn't that despite what seats diagnostics said so now i have a spare n seat don't have the £425[:@] they wanted!!

Don't know what the part number is. I'll have to check. (The car's a TDI)

I just googled the part number under advanced searches in a certain time frame n that's what led me to ebay.de:) if it's a bosch probably be 100's but mine was a Hitachi, wtf! and like rocking horse poo! By the way if you want to straight look german for air mass meter is luftmassenmesser.....good luck:)
