Maf

Can anyone tell me if theres a way of testing to see if your MAF is on its way out without vag-com??
If not is there anyone near Halifax with vag-com who could help??

tested mine by unplugging it then driving the car bit and if it drove better then the maf was dead or dying , i did this and ended up getting another maf which solved my problems

will the car run ok then with the Maf un plugged?? It wont damage anything/cause it to run like a bag of s**t?

Stick in 3rd gear, and floor it from 2k...If its sluggish, its dead! If it revs up well, then its fine
