I expected Ebay to be cheaper to be honest, and did see a couple at a more reasonable price, then spotted that one!
Also, a lad i know works at Seat garage and he had told me to expect to pay around £200!!
So, is the ECP one just the same part and the ebay and stealers one are just rip offs??

Yes.
Dealer prices similar to ECP.
Both Dealer and ECP give you exchange price against your old one.
this is why many people make a fortune on ebay, - ie many presume it will be cheaper.
Often ebay is expensive.
Or you can find prices on a part varying massively on ebay.
an other example is £40 splitter for the LCR.. plus postage is commom on ebay. A £20 part from any dealer.

then either you friend is silly, or very out of date,
you will pay about £85 - £90 from a dealer. (exchange and may bhave more comeback..
I presumed fleabay would've been the cheapest option when I was looking for one, in the end Andrew Page was the cheapest at £49 after exchange, Bosch inc 2 year warranty
