I've just booked my car in for a new clutch (Mk4 Cupra TDI), and the garage has told me he's putting an LUK one on, along with a new flywheel.

I've read reviews and this seems ok to me.

Just wondering though - should i insist on a Sachs?

Not sure what he's quoted but another garage quoted a £25 difference between a Sach and an LUK.

LUK are OE so can't go wrong really, either is fine for a standard car, remapped is a different ball game :headhurt:

Had it done today.

I actually asked for a Sachs and got a Sachs, about £19 extra.

Thing is - the guy had said he'd replace like for like, unless i really wanted a sachs - which i did.

As it happened, the car had a Sachs as OE. Apparently it's a bit hit and miss with SEAT as to what they actually put on their cars.
