Yaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy !!!! ,

Getting my car back from the LPG conversion place at last!!!,

They have decided that they cant get it working properly and have agreed to take all the LPG conversion stuff off and return it to normal, i will pick it up on tuesday,

After 40 days without my car i am finally getting it back !!:D , just in time for me to get the bleed valve set up at 18 psi and get to the RR day on the 19th :D :D :D

Dont think there will be any compensation as we actually told them to take it all off, when we pushed them for a firm data s to when it would be ready, they said they need it for another 2 weeks or so, so we just said 'thats it, end of the line, take it all off' !!,

If we hadnt pushed them, they would have probably kept my car for another 2 months!!,

The only good point is that they have welded a thread onto the exhaust downpipe so that they could fot another lambda sensor, so they will be romoving the sensor and putting a bolt into it to plug it, so i can fit an EGT sensor and gauge easily myself now !!!:D

I was actually glad they are removing it Toonman !!, it wasnt very driveable on gas and i had lost around a third of the power even after they had supposedly sorted it out !!, their answer was to pust the boost up even higher that the already over the top 21psi !!!, it would have probably killed the turbo with a pressure any higher than that !!

LPG Conversion

Shame you couldn't get it working - or rather your fitter couldn't. I had a honda Civic 1.8 Vti-S on a gas conversion - although without a turbo, still went like sh*t off a shovel and topped 138mph on the Autobahns!!! and although it only did 24 mpg equivalent on LPG it cost about the same to trun as my new Leon TDi should do, which I pick up tomorrow!!!

The only reason Im replacing it is 'coz some idiot rammed into the back of me in stationary traffic a 30 mph!!

Still, Im looking forward to my new imported Leon - picking it up tomorrow from Holland!!!! Cant wait!! Gotta get up at 3am though :( That sux :(

mileage for o2 sensor replacement?

My LC has now done 93k and im getting intermittant error codes for the front o2 sensor, something about heating circuit, and another saying bank 1 was running rich - typically i wrote down the code and then lost it! I'm also getting a common fault code for a boost leak ( seems lots of people suffer from it, pipe connection issues.) Anyway my question is should i just replace the o2 sensor as it has done 94k?
I went under the car to see what sensor it was, 4 or 5 wire? But its so well wrapped up i couldnt tell! Everything i have seen points to a 5 wire front .
I will see if i can pull the codes again tomorrow.
