Please dont shout at me - I have searched! lol.

I'm looking at lowering the ibiza now, having looked at coilovers and narrowed the choices down to two types, I cant help feeling coilovers will be overkill for me, especially since its my everyday ride, used for work, and the roads round here are like the surface of the moon.

So, I'm after pictures of Ibiza's lowered on springs/shocks.

BUT

The wheel's must be 16's, as thats what I have. I have seen loads of pictures of ibiza's lowered on 17's, and they look pretty decent but cant find many lowered on 16's!

Can anyone help please?

Thanks :)

if you want a small drop (30mm) id recommend a Koni STR.T kit. its the basic Koni kit costing around the £280 mark but still comes with the lifetime warranty.

i dont have these on my ibiza but i put them on my girlfriends arosa. they give a firmer ride then standard but the are not any way near a stiff as coilovers. they are a comfy ride and not crashy bangy.

you can also buy these from you local camberly auto factors as they are theuk importers for Koni, so they have lots of margin to play with.

Its just a set of 50mm springs from V-Maxx. Ive got a brand new set of shocks sitting in the garage, but never fitted them when i changed them over.

I need better stance this year, so coilovers going on.

PM'd. ;)

hey chris

mine will be lowered on 50mm springs and shocks as of this week, just finding time to get it booked in.

only went with a cheapish set to see if i like it ride- wise, and practicality-wise..

will get pics up soon.

Nice one mate, let us know what they're like! They seem pretty good value for money

Yeah I'm sure I'd be happy with a 50mm drop! TBH I dont mind if it sits a tiny bit higher at the back - it all adds to the sleeper look... And anything is better than what I have now! Will you report back and let us know what the ride is like? When they getting fitted?

I dont think any drop will look stupid mate unless you get one of those crazy kits that lowers the front 60mm and the back 20mm or something daft lol. Springs and shocks will improve the handling a bit but Im guessing not as much as coilovers, but they have a slightly better ride quality? That's what I'm led to believe anyway?

surely springs and shocks give the same in handling but the only difference being you cant adjust them? i dont know!! just want to lower it not stupid amounts to make it look a bit better and corner better. plus i cant afford coilovers :p

I could of afforded coilies but decided against it, as i wont ever adjust them and for the drop i wanted the matching springs and shocks sounded a bargain!

ill let you know end of this week what they are like
