Lower Engine mount problem*bad news update*

As per the title, im doing something wrong or there is something majorly amiss with mine as ive had to buy my second mount in 2 months from seat (£60!) so im guessing im fitting it wrong. First (original i think) mount had and open end where it screws up into the front most part and it ripped clean through it and then bent the bracket. Mount number 2 was different and had an enclosed hole so bolted up nicely but the bracket snapped on it. This time ive mounted it upside down so the bracket is under less stress but the bolt that goes through the rubber bush is not doing anything now so i am at a loss as to what is going wrong, and i cant keep unbolting it and the like as the threads are wearing :help:
i have no problems with the mount its the bracket really but Seat only sell it as one as its poorly bonded on to the mount grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

any one got any ideas or had a similar problem?? or could someone get a good shot of their lower rear engine mount please.

mines a 2000 10v 2.3 V5.

Thanks
Tim

Went into WJ King Seat in Sidcup today, they were most helpful and had rung me by lunch to tell me that it was going to need a new gearbox casing as the bolts for the mount had stripped one hole and snapped in the other. How much supplied and fitted......he didnt go into specifics but he said it would go beyond the realms of £1000!! :censored:

So i think i am going to track down a second hand box and go from there. Had a quote for a 68000 yr 2000 V5 box at £450 so far (fitting on top! gulp)

Would any VAG box of the same age fit?? or is it as i imagined and V5 specific?

Any breakers or anyone with the outer casing alone is more than welcome ;)

It will arise from the ashes but it make take a while as money is not readily available due to imminent house change (these things always happen at the best times)
