Low Oil Warning

The Spanner warning sign on the dash with Oil flashing. Is this an actual warning due to the Oil being low, or is it guessing it needs oil.

Just topped mine up, all normal , but the Spanner and Oil is still flashing !

That's the service reminder - it's saying you need an oil change. If your car isn't actually due a change ie. it hasn't been reset when last serviced, then there are instructions in the manual on how to reset the reminder

Car has Done 14000 miles in 8 months, had a prelim service at 10000 but they obivously didnt amend it.

My service light never once came on - 21000 miles in 11 months! I think I confused the computer! Ah well, the next owner will probably come on here at some point and ask how to fix it.....
