Right started the car up this morning and the cloud of soot that blow out the exhaust was something to behold.

So this evening I've plugged the car into VAG Com and done a little bit of logging. The Actual vs request MAF figures are up and down sometimes the actual far exceeds the requested and vice versa, similar with the boost figures. Seen as the engine is stock with the only addition being a Green filter I would expect to see the MAF reading being higher consistently across the range but that's not true. The boost pressure is again a little up and down I would expect to lose a bit through the OE joints but doesn't explain why it exceeds the requested boost.

Also logging the torque it gives a figure of 350Nm Peak torque @ 2037rpm does this seem right for a std motor? how accurate is this figure?

May also be worth saying that it is always run on Shell diesel and the car seems to have good and bad days (atmospherics) but they are quite pronounced the difference. The waste gate sound is also becoming more pronounced (sounds like a small cough).

So the long and short is that the car runs fine there seems to be more soot recently. Any Ideas as I'm a little stumped ??

Air Filter is pretty clean as I did that not long ago. I'll redo the logs with a couple of different groups as suggested by James.

Then its a case of going crawling under it to look at the pipes.

I'll let you know how I go.
