Hi guys/gals.

I'm looking to replace my 1.4 Fiat Bravo  with a 2002 1.9 TDi SE Ibiza.

Anyone got any idea on cost that i should be looking to pay for a 2002 with 60,000 miles? It has metalic paint and 17 alloys.

Also any problems i should keep an eye out for?

Cheers

Warren

Any Pics??

Not sure on an SE - maybe £5000 - £6000?

Should look out for rust patches under sills, anti-roll bar knocking.

problems to look for are

misting/condensation in front and rear lights
ratling dashboard
windnoise from mirrors and door seals
ratling boost pipe on bottom left of engine bay
pulling left steering
uneven tyre wear
rust on bottom of wings (between wing and side sill)
rear washer jet popped off
clunking springs

these are the things i would look for to knock price down ;) welcome to seat very good car and very underestimated!

Cool cheers for the details there ;)

The car is currently up for 4K. I'm P/X and hoping to pay 3K for it.

Just had a nice f+r bumper respray too - have to get that HPI and checked out first TBH.

I'm 19 and one years no claims as a named driver on direct line, so insurance is tight.

I'm looking at 100ish a month on a 100bhp. i'd love a 130 :(

I can't afford the insurance otherwise i'd be tempted.

I'm not going for speed, i need a more economical car than anything. Close to 100 miles a day isn't good on a petrol.

I'm trying to make the change to a bigger can as easy and cheap as possible.

Well in NI paying £1200 for a 19yr old male is very good, I'm 24 and minecost me £1400 this year for my FR.

Only problem I can see with remaping the 100bhp SE would be that it only has drum brakes at the back (I could be wrong though), but even the brakes in my FR struggle when horsing on.

I can't get a remap on my insurance or any preformance mods til i'm 25.

But i might change my insurance next year.

As i'm just transfering my policy over to the new car and adding the extra evermonth.

Waso mate, get yourself a look on Morethan. Im 19 with one years no claims and am insured fully comp on a Tdi FR for £1000 a year. Have a play about with quotes and your sure to get one cheaper than that mate:)

Good luck
