Looking for Cupra Exhaust with Single Oval tailpipe

So the question is do you guys know what is the exact product code(s) for the 1P cupra exhaust (cat-back)? I tried to order cupra exhaust from my dealer and they offered me some two tailpipe version and they said it was the only one they could find from their system with brief searching. So I'm looking for the one oval tailpipe version, not the twin tailpipe version.

I have my original exhaust that's surplus to requirements, but I'm guessing from your forum name that you're based in Finland, so it would be horrendously expensive to post it to you, the Pn stamped on it is 1K0253611 HTH

Thanks for your reply! Yep, I'm from Finland so postage would be really expensive! I asked my dealer if they could find an exhaust with your code and they couldn't find anything with it...sorry. Is there any possibility you could get hold of cupra exhaust number (my dealer told me it could be in two parts...mid and rear pipes, or complete system with one number) from your dealer or somewhere...I would be really pleased! :)

My dealer just called me and they might have found the correct exhaust pipe. They will confirm me today if it is the right one so I might not need help with this anymore...but many thanks to Igor23 anyway! I will confirm later what we found out.

We couldn't find a correct partnumber for the cupra exhaust...but we found a couple of possibilities (1P0 253 181 D or same with H end). Does anybody know what those D/H end letters mean...are those pipes much different from each other and is one better than the other?

Hello,

The D suffix is for a BLY or BVZ engine!

The H suffix is for a BWA (petrol FR).

The BWJ (Cupra) engine requires you to order 1P0 253 181 H but this comes with fron and rear silencer! Unless you want the twin exit pipe which is 1P0 253 609 C

Kind regards.

So 1PO 253 181 H is the right one if I want normal (factory fit) Cupra exhaust with one oval exit pipe? Big thanks for you!! :)

Have you considered going for something like a Milltek? I am very happy with mine. Its not noisy but sounds deeper and all round better, the K04 Turbo kills the exhaust note/tone with a standard K1 system. I would expect a much longer life too!

You can get Milltek systems from Doc Power in Finland if that helps. http://www.doc-power.com
