If I stay with my 52 Cupra T 1.8 what mods or changes should I do? I have around 2k to play any ideas welcome am situated in Northampton and am open to remapping :D
Or do I sell and get a Cupra R with the BAM engine???? Don’t know what to do Help

Thank you

Can you get a similar age and mileage R for $2k plus what you d get for yours? If not , keep what you ve got and tune it. Two grand would do quite a bit of work. Depends whether all out power is more important than a really sorted lower power car. Only you know the answer to that one.

Depends how much extra power you want? If you want more than the cupra r then tuning your cupra could (emphasise the could) cost you more than a standard LCR map that and you're 250+

Thanks for replying RDS1972,

I have seen a Seat Leon Cupra R 225 Recaro edition low mileage for under 5k and am toying with buying but as i'm a noob to playing with Cupra's its hard to know which way to go , i'd like power but i want the fuel to be half resonable too, gave up a subaru as it was just sitting around cost to much to run as an every day car which is what my seat is but she's sitting at standard 180BHP which is boring gotta love the speed!.

Go for the LCR fuel bill are pretty good. Plus it's not just the bigger turbo that you get over a cupra.

i'd go for the LCR i currently have a tuned up lc180 (stage 1 - TIP - DV - Induction Kit) it feels fine for speed and i get about 33mpg, doing my work run 32miles a day some slow some a road.

if your gonna keep your car i'd get the mods i have plus suspension rear ARB, polybush and a exhaust system that'd see 235/240bhp and ride sweet. all depends on how good you are with sniffing out a good car, you always buy someone elses problems!!!!

If you want more power go for the Cupra r rather than spending the money on yours, comes with The brembos, extra power plus, sport seats ect. You can pick up a really nice example for under 5k with good history and low miles. Just beware of the gearboxes which are prone to whine and crunch in 3rd and the other normal Leon problems, door seals ect
