Hi
This is my first post so be gentle - Im currently on the lookout for a Leon TDI 150 - Ive had VAG cars in the past - Audi A3 140 TDI and 2.0 TFSI - Audi A4 Cab and until recently a MK5 Golf GTI with Custom Code Remap. I now drive a Corsa 1.2 SXI  mainly because Im saving for a house deposit and thought I could live with it - but the sad reality is it does get me from A to B but I cant - I just cant!!

See this advertised locally and want some opinions - mainly on price and the mileage.
Thanks in advance.

I cant post a direct link to it because I haven't had 15 posts yet - red tape I spose!

Its at Fairview Motors in Walsall - its the only Seat they have - cheers if you can be bothered to look it up but no probs and understand if you cant be arsed lol.

The link is : dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/282312/index.htm (copy and paste pls)

Its up at £7295 with 87k miles - just serviced and had cambelt done with 12 months warranty.

Cheers

quiter high priced for the mileage i would say.... and if its JUST had thre cam done at 87k id be wary if the service history. id ask them when the cam was done, should have been at 60k, ask if the waterpump was done also.

12 month warranty good, but ask what it covers... id be looking to get the price down on that.

Looks good to me! It's the FR+ model with the front spoiler and bumper.

It's worth checking it the brake/clutch fluid has been changed as that is supposed to be done every couple of years. Also did the water pump get changed when the cambelt was done? If they weren't then you could probably negotiate the price of the car down a bit.

Not sure what the going price is for a 55 TDI150, but if you're happy with the price, the HPI checks out and you get 12 months warranty then go for it as 87k is nothing for a properly maintained Diesel.

i'd say thats high.

Personally if your looking at spending that much, definately look at a Cupra TDi ibiza, a lot quicker due tot he weight and extra bhp, but superb on fuel when you drive sensibly. if the corsa was ok for size then the ibiza would be better as slightly bigger.

Also, if you do want a leon. i know the FR+ looks nice, but for 6-7k you can get a very nice lower milage Plain old Cupra Tdi leon.

Have alook on autotrader and Pistonheads classifeids.

In fact do yourself a big fabvour and speak to LEON1783 as ghe is selling a beauty of an FR+ at 6100 and lower miles than the one yu are looking at.

Thanks Ant

I did look at that car earlier - the bad points especially the slipping clutch scared me off it - didnt want it remapped either to begin with plus ideally I wanted to part ex the corsa to save on all the hassle of selling privately - dont want much do I lol

Will keep an eye out on the suggested sites for any bargains as Im in no rush.

Thanks for all the replies guys.
