looker Seat in Stockport
Took my leon in for weeping drive shaft seals on the monday.
THe car was left until Wednesday before it even got seen .
Seat says that it is only going to replace one drive shaft gearbox seal since the one i said was leaking they can't see is leaking and yet the technician said he had to wipe gearbox oil of the inner drive shaft, and yet they still won't replace both seals on the gearbox.
i even said even though it is under warranty i would pay for them to do it still not good enorgh.
So thoughly fustrated P***** off with them since they have had my car for 1 week and done nothing with it
My advice to anyone from the stockport manchester area is do not take your car for sevicing or warranty work at Lookers Stockport.
Since they are a pile of S*** :censored: :thumbd:  :-o  :redcard:

Kind Regards

Some of us already know that!

One of my mates used to work therew as a technician. Told me all the horror stories while he was there! Customers cars being crashed on test drives, doors being ripped off on the ramps etc. He moved to a different manufacturer in the end.

The salesman (don't know if he still works there) tried to sell me a 6 month old ex-demo Leon Cupra TDI, with 3000 miles on the clock, for £100 less than a brand new list price one! Got a new one for £800 less than his "best" offer from LC Charles in Crewe. His best offer suddenly changed to £15100 but I wasn't interested (£100 less than I paid for mine). Bought my brand new car from Crewe, parked it outside his office, and made a point of asking him where the parts department was so I could get the blanking plate to remove the CD changer :D

Have always used LC Charles for service and warranty work since then.

Was thinking of switching to using Lookers in Stockport after the problems I've just with Autoworld in Chesterfield. But now I've changed my mind - trouble is I'm running out of choices !

I'd recommend David Cook in Oldham - took mine there for the 30K service and no problems. Plus they gave it really good wash and it was sparkling

David Cook were good with me too! :)

I had my IC into Lookers and they were pathetic, made me pay £50 for them to tell me there was a problem with my car, but they couldn't tall me what it was!?!?! I knew it had a problem or I wouldn't of brought it in!!!

GK Group in Derby are really good for anyone near there. :)

Bought my car from Bells Hyde (wasnt impressed) but that closed down so it was either Stockport or Oldham.

Lookers of Stockport charged me over £200 for my FIRST service including engine flush, i found that price exceptionally high. Booked a courtesy car (making me wait over a month then i expected to) and it "wasnt available". I complained and got a lift back to my house by someone who delivers back cars in for repairs after a 20 minute wait. Wasnt impressed.

They also washed my car, making it dirtier than it was pre-service, covering it in streak marks. Hardly a heinous crime but frustrating all the same.

Next time ill try the Oldham dealership, but after that there is no other SEAT dealerships within an hours drive.

Personally I'd avoid DC in Oldham for services too, reasons are too numerous to go into now....

I get it serviced at Awesome, but if it ever needs more warranty work doing I'll take it back to DC as it's where I bought it from and they can damn well f*cking fix it!

I stopped using LC Charles when I was chasing them for over 3 months for 2nd faulty electric window switch to be replaced! Phoned them many times, and was always passed between service and parts and was promised call backs which never happened, so took my business to IMG in Warrington instead who replaced it within a few days of my first phone call. Used them a few times now and if I was keeping the car or a SEAT, i'd carry on with IMG.

Must admit I used Lookers when my car broke down at the top of Scotland, and they did get the car repaired very quickly and were pretty friendly when I got there to pick it up, although when I got home, I found some huge scratches and scrapes on the bottom side of both the bumpers, which was either caused by SEAT assist/the AA when they towed it from Inverness to Stockport, or the dealership, although I reakon it probably wasnt the dealer.
