Locking doors with engine running.

How can i lock the doors and leave the engine running without setting the alarm off, have tried pressing the valet button but this seems to do sweet FA.

Unlock and start the car with the remote fob key, then lock the door with your secondary chip key.

However if some chancer punches your window through and drives off, you're insurance won't pay.

I have tried this but the alarm goes off. Maybe because i have turned my original non remote key into a flip key remote, shall i try using the original remote key to start and lock with the new flip key?
