As above.Delocked the drivers door back in May of my Mk3 Cupra,at the same time put new battery in the key fob.Came to unlock the car tonight with the fob & the car stays locked, the fob LED flashes as normal when pressed.Access through the hatch is possible but how do I deactivate the alarm & immobiliser?

Thanks

Think you're just gonna have to be quick ... and a little brave

Access through the boot is with the key yeah ? Only my Toledo locked me out a few weeks ago and the central locking opened the boot but non of the doors.

When I finally got in (don't ask) I stuck the keys in the ignition, turned to the first click and opened the door from the inside.

I don't know if sticking the key in the ignition will turn off the alarm on it's own, but it may re-sync something

.... either that, or you'll have very angry neighbours :(

had the bat changed in my key fob the other week, and it still works like a charm ???

you didnt leave the bat out for more than 20 secs ?? as i think that may then wipe the key ?? but not sure, got mine done at a watch shop so he took like 5 secs to change it

Sorted.Climbed in thro' boot with the alarm going off.Disconnected battery & changed door lock back to one with key.Reconnected battery & turned alarm off using key in door handle.Carried out resync of key fob & it's back to normal being able to lock/unlock with fob.Why it stopped working I don't know, but its back to normal. Will put the delocked handle back on tomorrow and hope it does'nt happen again.
