Wee update, went to the W.Livingstone in Uddingston (Seat dealer) and a replacement nut is £13 and is getting delivered tomorrow.

Cheaper than i thought so happy days.

i lost my key once, the garage just hammered a socket thing on it, and pulled it off. the wheel/thread etc was fine but obviously the locking nut was buggered. just bought a new set and thats me :D

thats good.lol. just fitted a boost gauge.

was it easy to fit? Was thinking of doing this but was just going to get the garage to do it when i get round to getting it remaped. Folk on here have different opinions on fitting them.

I got a puncture a few years ago going down south, nursed it to a garage and the done the same with a hammer and a keylike thing with two fork points at the end for digging into the lock nut, off in no time :).

Makes you wonder why we even use lock nuts when folk have tools like that, If someone really wants your wheels, they'll have them.

if someone tries using their tools to get the locking nuts off, im sure someone away in china will be alerted by the noise they make and end up calling the police...its do-abe,but not easy lol.

as for the boost gauge, for mine, it was more of a nuisance than hard. its fairly straight forward, just the issue of wiring and feeding the pipe through really... my mate ended up breaking my light switch while taking it off so be careful with that,a new 1 is £64!
