Lock car whilst not in it how ?

I used to be able to lock my last car whilst engine running ,useful in the winter whilst warming defrosting ect ...how do i do it on this or can i even ?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.
I take it this is not possible on 2022 Formentors without OBD11?
I only ask as I was defrosting the car with it running this morning (left the steering lock on) but was hesitant at turning my back.
I tried to lock our 2021 BMW 118i whilst it was running and defrosting yesterday and the alarm instantly started sounding so that’s a no!

I didn’t actually try it on the Formentor this morning but I take it from the above comments if you try to lock the car with the key from outside when it is running, it does nothing?

you need to lock and unlock with the fob by the way .wont work on the door handle

This is exactly what I wanted to hear! I’ll give it a whirl in the morning. As I say the steering lock would stay on regardless!

Tried this yesterday. Unfortunately it doesn’t work!

Started the car, put the heated seats on, heated steering wheel and max blowers with rear window heater.
Got out, shut the door and tried to lock it. They key just didn’t do a thing, as if it was dead. Touching the sensors on the handles did nothing either.
Shame! This is a 2022 April build V2.

Only way I have found which works is to use the old fashioned way and lock the car using the key in the slot. Car then has to be unlocked this way as well. Frustrating but better than nothing I guess

mine works fine ,start car whack everything on full to warm and defrost lock with fob .....you have to use the fob to lock and unlock keyless door handle wont work.

have you tried the app in OBDeleven ,thats how i made it work months ago.
