Little rubber matt?

HI All

in the small storage compartment where the gear stick is on a 2001 cupra, can you get a small rubber mat? as stuff keeps sliding about when placed in the small compartment

i remember in my Ibiza Cupra in the small storage hole, it had a rubber mat

Do you mean the area in front of the gear lever, under the ashtray? I got a mat from Halfords for a quid or two, just cut to size and it does the job fine

Rik has some black one's that look good, and I have a spare blue set if you want PM me.

They are for the tray in front of gear stick, the tray behind gear stick & the little cubby hole by the drivers right knee......

I wasn't fond of anti-slip rubber mats for they looked cheap

I've covered the inside of my glove box (another cheapo plastic), second glove box on driver's side and small tray behind the gear lever with automotive carpet, chosen to match my floor carpet set, cut to size and glued. Just clean by vacuum from time to time and it's fine

I think the stuff Halfords sell, the dark grey mat, looks pretty good and can easily be removed should it need cleaning

I like the carpet idea actually, but luckily the Halfords job was much easier to take out and clean when Coke leaked out of the McD's cup in my cup-holder and all down the front of the dash...

The two smalll cubbies around the handbrake actually have rubber mats as standard in the Mark 4 golf. They are rubber and molded to shape. VW would sell them
