Limp mode ????

Need your help guys

My car has started to intermitentley (?) not run to full boost normally it goes up to about 1.5 bar but some time only goes to 1 bar and on the way home tonight it would only go to 0.5 bar . I got home turned it off and back on drove and it went to 1.5 bar
Do you recon it was in limp mode also if there is an error code will it tell me theres a problem without vag-com if so where

Also this morning after about 30 min of city road and about 20 mins of motor way it didnt want to go into 1st gear, pumped the clutch and wiggled the stick and it went in after that it was fine.

I would be greatfull for any suggestions

I had a problem on my first Leon Cupra which caused it to go into "limp home" mode intermittently. There was nothing to show what the problem was, the dealer had it off the road for nearly 3 months.
The fault was that the water pump drive shaft had snapped, so there was no water circulating. Temperature gauge did not show a problem, the pump drive belt was spinning fine, it just wasn't connected to the pump. The ECU was detecting "something" (hot spots?) and playing it safe.

It also seemed to have softened the bonnet paintwork, so I got a lot of stone chip damage.

It turned out to be the D/V the needed adjusting all sorted now hopefully

I hope you are sorted, the dealer changed the D/V twice under warranty then a third time after the warranty expired, at which point I went a bit ballistic. That seemed to be the only symptom the diagnostics reported.
