limp mode using super unleaded fuel..

Hey guys, when i bought my ibiza off my mate he had problems with the car now and again going into limp mode and it then sorting its self out using 97 ron fuel, he then got told by a mate to try some 95 ron and see what that does, and its never gone into limp mode since, i know i shouldnt try and make a problem out of this, but just wandering what it could be as id like to treat it to some super now and again

to be honest ive never heard of different petrol putting a car in limp mode -

id think it was something else causing it

it used to do it regularly, he hasnt changed anything other than fuel hes putting into it, and its stopped doing, thats the only variable hes changed :s

Could it be due to the fact its running boost 9 and timing 7 Revo stage 2 on a ko3 ? would it be slower if i have it lowered to boost 7 ?
