Typical, you think your car is fixed, you put it up for sale, then on the first test drive it goes into limp mode!:(

I had problems with my car going into LM so I changed the n75f for a new one, I thought the problem was solved. Apparently not!!!

Can someone help me please! how can I stop this! :help:

Thanks

have your boost levels changed? if so maybe a split wastegate pipe (after N75) - happened to me.

DV ok? DV pipes, vacuum pipes?

I can't think of anything else from experience. I had limp mode by running my BOV valve without the diverter pipe and a split pipe after the N75.

the car drives fine with no jumping or stuttering, just in limp mode (slow as fook)

I'm getting to codes read soon.

I have a forge DV but have never seviced it, should I?

The car does not go into LM when driving hard, just when driving to work 80mph ish.

After I have disconected the battery it runs fine for a good 10 15 miles, then goes back to LM.

im sure if you get it scanned on vag com all will be revealed if it is going into limp mode then it should chuck up a fault code, my mates car went into limp mode recently, vag com'd it and it was the coolant sensor that was faulty, maybe something totally different gone on yours, do all basic checks pipework and look at your d/v especially if you have never serviced it, all the best with it fella

my car has gone into limp mode twice now, both for overboosting I assume. No errors logged at all.
Going to have to switch revo down a notch again :(

I put my car to "stock" last night. I have driven 40 miles and all is fine.

The problem seems to be when the revo is turned up the car can't handle boost.

could it be a split pipe?

next to the actuator, the actuator 'actuates' the wastegate

What fuel?

Seriously - could be any number of things, boost too high, boost to low, MAF shagged, running too rich, running too lean, intake too hot...

You had it logged/scanned yet?

Hi dont know if this will help you but my leon cupra was a real pain when i first got it as it was always going into limp mode but never any fault codes? changed the dump valve for a forge one = no difference then changed the n75 valve =no difference, then bumped into an old mate from school who worked at seat for a while and he suggested whipping off the throttle body and giving all the insides a good clean and then having a simple throttle body allignment. the throttle body on the leons etc... are apparantly prone to collecting dirt etc.... I took it to the garage as i dont like getting to dirty and they did this for £25 and when i picked it up it drove like a totally different car really smooth and powerfull and no limp mode. i have since found out from seat that they reccomend a throttle body clean every 20,000 miles so must mean something? anyway if your at wits end then worth a try? maybe the extra fuel from revo chuckes it in limp mode quicker as the car struggles with the dirty throttle body, just a thought.
