hi all im in the process of wiring my hids but ive noticed my h7 dipped beam has a red and brown wire which is the positive and negative?

does the unit not just clip int the original loom mate...

should just put the bulb in, connect to the hid unit and connect the other to the original loom on the car

is he not referring to the fact that on the kit the positive will be red and the negative black and on the car the positive is a kinds pink/red colour and the negative is brown, i had this same oh **** moment when i was fitting my kit and i reffered to google to help me out as i didnt want to plug it in the wrong way, the kit comes with spade connectors that just clip into the existing wiring. make sure you test them before cutting the hole in the plastic cover

You shouldn't need to cut any wires. The bulbs should have 2 wires, a red one and a black one with spade connectors on the end. They just slide into the red and brown wires on the black plug.
