Yup... loads of water/mist in my headlights.

All because I couldnt be arsed to seal up the HID holes I drilled in them

So ... I need to get them out to dry them.

Done a quick search and can't find anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Even just a link/website/thread... anything.... please?

yeh well m0rk, you should know how lazy i am by now ;)
And don't think drying out my std lights will achieve anything - they all seem to mist up so it'll probably just start doing it again :(
Might have to invest in some angel eyes soon tho :)

Cheers guys ... ripped out the indicator .... Pinched a hair dryer... jammed that in the hole and "most" of the water is gone.

It's "misting" more now. but there is hardly any water in it.

Bumper off ... fcuking Spanish shite ;)

yeh, might slap some of those things in my headlights, but i thought they absorbed the moisture etc, and as they do they expand in size? if they do then you might not be able to get them out afterwards? Silica gel stuff isnt it?

I got hold of some of them a while back .... the size of sugar bags (come in LCD TV boxes) I chucked a load of them in my convertable's boot (which was leaking at the time) didn't seem to do much.

But once I had taken it down from "puddles" to just "mist/moist" it dried them right up.

The bags are full of little beads, so be careful not to rip the bags as you are putting them in and out otherwise you will have REAL problems getting them out again. Im going to sort some out today.

Cheers guys

you can use the silica beads again and again, just dry them out in your oven on a low heat then hey presto ready to role again. my dad used to use them inbetween oldstyle double glazing.

misting is caused by outside/inside temperature difference... my own solution was drilling 3 little holes on the bottom of the unit and sticking to each hole a little sillicone hose (you can use a vacumm like hose) I used this hose because I had from my R/C planes... point them towards and that´s it... it will ventilate your unit with out letting water in..

greetings.

That is a pretty good idea.

Still can't be arsed to take off the bumber to take out the lights though! LOL!

I have sealed the unit pretty wenn now, so no water can get in, but air can get out. So im sure when (if) the summer turns up, the mist will dissapear then (hopefully) never com back....

The problem of letting water in, and mist building up is that your silver coat will start to fall (happend to me on one unit that I then had to change), so I recomend you to take 2-3 hrs from your weekend and fix it!!...
you can do the holes on the back panel and turn the little hoses towards, like that you don´t need to take the bumper down..

greetings!!
