Lifting Ateca floor

Hi all,

My daughter has just bought a facelift Ateca FR which only has the squirty cream and inflator. I want to put at least a space saver in it but ideally a full sized spare.

A space saver is simple enough but I'm looking at raised floor options. There is a Seat kit specifically for this car but it's not cheap for just the floor and side brackets. I found a kit for the Skoda Karoq but I don't know if it will fit. It is described as only being for the 4x4 Karoq but I can't see why it wouldn't fit in the 2wd Ateca? Does anyone know what the difference between the two car's boots is? This kit is good value as you get the tool kit and polystyrene boxes too.

I think you will find it will fit the parts are interchangeable. If you can see it in a Karoq with the full sized wheel it will put your mind at rest. The question has come up before. Mine is 4Drive with the factory fitted skinny. For the variable I've said measure before. There are two pinned threads on the Seat Ateca and Cupra Ateca side. They are interchangeable but cover both bases. Have to find the screw thread holes from memory. It's covered in them by people explaining how they post fitted them.

Some of the Seat parts aren't available now but available on Skoda parts. That's on the threads as well. These post fitting parts were never available at the Ateca launch, if you didn't buy the right car with the boot component you were stuck. Two years or so later the parts became available. The Karoq and Ateca are same car built on the same / neighbouring production lines. The Skoda engineers got to implement the Seat design for the Ateca first, then added their extra design bits for the Skoda. Ateca to me is more like a modern German hotel with a lack of storage, whilst the Karoq is better appointed but has the ugly Skoda grill.

So do you think the 4x4 boot trays and floor will fit the 2wd? I'm struggling to see why they wouldn't but I'm scared to buy them in case they don't.

I bought a Skoda jack kit for a Leon before as Seat did not list a jack kit. Worked perfectly.

The variable floor ones were designed really for 2wd. 4Drive have a raised floor so suspect the variable floor won't. Think that's what we are talking about. These options back in 2016 you didn't see unless they happened to be in a show room. They were order to spec. Then the parts launched a couple of years later.

If @Ckpearce91 is still around or anyone they should be able to tell you whether you can get a full size wheel under there. Next best thing is nose about showrooms for Ateca and Skoda. As I said you might have to order them from Skoda or any Seatparts sponsor we currently have.

Hmm I see the title above says 4drive but I reckon they fit... on a 2 drive you haven't got the drive in the rear so there is more depth. The drill holes will be there in the body. That seemed to be the case that was found. These variable kits were being fitted to 2 drives, factory fitted were where people wanted boot flexibility. They ordered them as an addon. Think the project above put it in a 4drive.

So does that mean that the 4x4 floor would not sit as high in 2wd car?

Are the Skoda and Seat boots exactly the same shape? Are the side panels the same?

First one the 4drive bottom plane sits higher due to the 4drive below but the bolt position don't change to my knowledge. You have more depth in the 2wd. The well goes down further.

On 2. 99% sure they are, why the fittings are interchangeable.

It's the same car except some outside body parts and the inside. Same chassis.
