Letchworth Service:
Ok lets get the worst out of the way. Now my dad had his bammer serviced there more than once, on the first instance they folded his sill and scratched his wing. The second time the curbed his alloys and cut his door seal. Now my LCR after its first service I noticed a chip next to where they had been working (couldn’t be a chip as I had been looking there last night at the faulty badges and would have noticed it! There response to both of these was basically “tough” as it’s your word against ours.
Now for today’s c*ck up, nothing to do with them but it’s the way they handled it. I noticed that the LCR suspension caps were at different levels from about a week after getting her but just though there were aesthetic caps that just weren’t on properly, How could I be so wrong! After getting a phone call asking if my car had been in an accident I was told the main brackets and bearings were broken! This was news to me a si have had her from new (not even a year yet!) So was I sold a duff car? Or had they found a failed part that looked like it had been caused by an accident? After a few phone conversations I decided to go down there to have a look for my self, now as I trained as a manufacturing engineer I would like to think I would no a little about the stuff m looking at, and there it was the rubber bushes hole was way off center! Back I go to the service desk, and there is where they hit me when I said it looks like its either been manufactured wrong or put together incorrectly! To which I was told that they had been in the game for 20 years and never sene anything like that so its my fault! What really mad me laugh was when I asked if he had notoiced any signs of accident damage he told me, “ I haven’t seen the car yet”! WTF so your telling me im wrong your right and you haven’t even bothered to look!
Ser-vica to say I was a little bit peeved at there arrogant behavior to me so I left and got back in contact with Seat customer car.
Seat Customer Care:
One word “Brilliant” One of the main reasons I chose seat over most other manufacturer is the fact my dad had a seat at the same time I had my ford, lets just say seat were far more helpful than ford. And they don’t fail to satisfy. I had a major problem with me LCR (Basically the front suspension had collapsed, from new!) one call to a cheery customer care advisor and my problems were more or les sorted immediately! So hats off to the guys and girls at the help desk, not only did the calm me down but the resolved my issues with 110% efficiency.
Seat Ibiza 1.2 12v:
Not a bad little car very gutless once you hit 70 but the 3-cylinder engine sounds great. The main issue (Only bee driving her for a day) is the window is so high! I like to drive with one arm perched on the door, but in the beeza its so high it hurts (Maybe this is a good thing and stops me doing it!)! Even though it’s a small car I find parking harder than the leon as you can see bugger all! I think this is main due to the high windows.
Courtesy car:
The fact I could have a hire car was great (im under 25) so no need to change my insurance over.
The car wasn’t bad, but the fuel issue was crazy, I got it at half a tank when the paper work said empty and I have to bring it back on half! Why not fill it up or leave it empty!
The bloody graphics! The main ones at the bottom weren’t too bad but the great big “WHAT CAR OF THE YEAR” mad the car look horrible, I wouldn’t consider buying one if I saw that one first!
Ok long long long rant over!
