What part of Devon are you in mate and why are you only looking at Revo and Superchips when there are lots of good tuning companies and maps out there to choose from? Superchips is a very safe map and Revo is quite dear compared to the competition. It all comes down to what power you want from your car, how you like to drive it and weather you intend to do any future engine mods that will mean the ECU will need remapping again.

thanks for your reply mikeyboy
i`m from newton abbot and i was considering the superchips or revo remaps due to you being able to turn them on or off as my cars only 6 months old and still under warranty.i was hoping that with the remap that my cars accelleration would improve, not bothered about top end speeds just nice to have that little bit extra when you need it!!

I know Newton Abbot/Torquay very well mate, i used to go clubbing and generually harassing young females every weekend. Custom Code is very cheap at the moment ( got an offer on ) and can be switched off with VagCom which would work out a lot cheaper then Revo and Superchips. I think it`s about £350ish at the moment not that there is anything wrong with Revo etc just that Custom Code is cheaper. Custom Code is also doing a mobile tuning thing where they come to you which you might want to look into. Custom Code is owned by jbs who have a section on SCN so ypu can ask them on site or phone them. Phone number for jbs and Custom code is same as same office/staff. I don`t know of any mobile mappers down your way but Bell Auto and P Torque on here also do very good maps at good prices but they can alter the map to your likeing or if you start to mod your car later a lot cheaper then Custom code/Revo etc.

I just had my 2.0 TDI PD140 Leon remapped by Custom Code. Very nice indeed! Increased power, torque and the car feels a lot smoother as well. Like it was said in the previous post they do do a mobile tuning service which might be handy for you and also they are also doing a 30% discount at the moment too so the remap came to £370.

There are plenty of options for tuning the 140 around the Devon area.
Simon Coe from Upsolute will come and visit you for around £300, non switchable but a good smooth map for the 140. I had this on mine.
There's a REVO dealer in Exeter, ex SEAT Master Techie and a member of this forum, you'll normally find him over on swdubs though.
TSR in Bridgwater do Custom Code re-maps and have a rolling road or there's a place in Taunton which does APR stuff IIRC.

Thanks for the mention Mikey :)

Custom-Code are offering a mobile tuning service which is done at no extra charge too!! so final price would be £370.13inc VAT

With the Custom-Code software they always aim to offer the best power across the rev range and smoothest power delivery as possible.

If you want to give them a call for the mobile tuning service their number is 01246 455002
