Leon T FSI service query

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at a Leon T FSI FR on a September 07 57 plate at the moment with just over 20k on the clock.

It had it's 2nd service at 20k back in February of this year, some 7 months before the 2 year mark.

I realise that the service schedule is every 10k or 12 months, whichever comes first, but does that mean that I will have to have it serviced again when it gets to 2 year old in September? Or would the next service be due in February 2010 or when it's 3 year old in September 2010?

By the way, I won't be getting up to 30k before it's 3 year old.

Hope this makes sense!

Many thanks,
Spenner.

You should get it serviced *either* every 10,000 miles or every year. So if you reach 30,000 after 10 months, you should get it serviced. Otherwise, you should get it serviced at a year after the previous service.

Unlike my missus' Honda Accord company car, VAG cars including the Seat Leons have helpful service indicators to remind you when a service is approaching, so you needn't worry about forgetting (like she did).

If it was last done in Feb 2009 and you are not going to do 10k miles before Feb 2010 then Feb 2010 is the time for service.

Is there not a sticker on the inside of the windscreen that says "next service is due at x miles or x date"

This info will be in the service book too I think.

Get the dealer that is selling the car to do a 10k service so you get a year before the next one is due, that's what I did when I collected my new 58 Leon last month.

I hate those annoying stickers they leave in the car... they leave sticker residue all over my nice clean interior :ban:

Hey Spenner999 - just out of curiosity was it a black FR DSG from an independent dealer in Huddersfield you were looking at?

All the above things relate to my FR DSG I purchased in July - and see you're based in Yorkshire!
