hi
looking at seat leons or ibiza as my first proper car and have been offered a leon s 1.6 16v in red for £1800

its done 56k with most of it being motorway miles. also has recently been serviced with the following parts replaced TIMING BELT (FULL KIT), DRIVE BELT, IGNITION COIL, 4x SPARK PLUGS, IGNITION LEADS, AIR FILTER, OIL FILTER, FUEL FILTER, MOBIL 1 OIL, FRONT + REAR WIPERS

is this a good price and also what are the leons like to drive and are they good first cars? ive been driving a vauxhall meriva for the last couple of months

I paid £1700 for my 1.6 S Leon in gunmetal grey metallic (Shadow Grey?) from eBay last month. It's very tidy 2002/52 plate with 75k on the clock, and full history.

Since had the cam belt done, even though it was done at 57k (the reason we got the Leon was because the cam belt went on my wife's car, reducing it to scrap value because of its age, only 12 months after it had been replaced, so paranoia ruled the day and made me have this one done again!) and I've sealed both doors on the drivers side after finding wet carpets, but otherwise delighted with the car.
