It wouldent close at all. Was scratching the inside top. So I brought a happy face and some sand paper. But in the process of making space some metal grains fell onto the "S" badge and... got scratched up. huray...

So, yes it`s pretty steep. 133GBP for the part and installation...

At least Ill have a spare scratched up "S" badge for the rear hatch.

£133 for what?, for a replacement badge and installation?. You've had your pants well and truly pulled down.

It's not just the badge though is it - they'll be a charge for the labour of re-adjusting the opening mechanism - probably an hour's work by the time you've pulled off and refitted all the trim to gain access to the mechanism

It wouldn't take that long to do it yourself. Once the trim is off you can see the bolts that hold it on. I doubt anything would need adjusting. The only real comfort with having a dealer do it is if they damage the trim at least they'll replace it. I think it's about £40 new. Still £133 is a bit steep just to replace a badge and fitting. I'd have bought the badge and taken it to a local garage if I didn't feel confident in doing it or see if a local member could sort it out for a pint or 2 :)

PS: Sorry turbin, your not in the UK are you?. I doubt you have many local forum members near

No, its the whole assembly. Not just the badge thats gonna be replaced. And no Im not in UK Im in Switzerland right now. I might as well use Seat dealer as they have experience with this car. I dont trust a local french baguett garage where I might save a couple bucks on the installation.
