Leon Mk2 FR - Hard ride?

I am about to order a new FR diesel. will probably get the 18" wheels option but....

When i test drove it att the dealer the ride seemed very hard.

Is it just me? my current 1.8 Cupra MK1 dosent seem anywhere near as bumpy a ride.

would 17" wheels make much difference?

thanks

I've got 17" wheels on my FR. I thought the ride was hard at first until I found out that the tyre pressures were 38 psi. Having let some air out and driven 2000 miles, I can't really say that the ride feels that much worse than my old Cupra.

I can't comment on whether 18"s are worse than 17"s.

Search the forum for koni fsd. They seem to be recommended by some people as a solution.

18 would be worse than 17 without a doubt. Fitting koni fsd's to a mk2 leon improves handling and gets you a superb ride. Well spent 300-400 quid imo...

The 17's are not as harsh as the 18's.

I have 18's on mine but the dealer leant me one with 17's while they repaired mine. The 17's definatley felt a little softer.

I prefer the look of the 18' but it's all down to individual taste's
