Leon GT28,FMIC etc.So whats the most popular air intake to go for?

Hello guys..been reading a few posts but finally i got a bit confused.

I need your help guys concerning my mates car since hes got no internet, therefore i will let him know about your opinions.


I have an ibiza NA and i am using the BMC CDA...my mate had a look into my air intake and he is thinking of improving his air intake.

His car is a Leon with GT28 turbine, FMIC etc.

However he is still using the stock air box and stock filter! as his tuner reccomended keeping his stock air filter as the humidity in the city he lives in is quite hight.

Anyways...what air intake is the most popular and seems to have the best results guys?

Is it the TTDA? how about the BMC? or its the simple rule of replacing the stock air filter with a KN for example panel filter inside the stock airbox?


What sort of performance should he be looking at after freeing up his air intake?I suppose he is gonna lose some power at low revs and gain @ high revs? or just gain everywhere in the power band?

cos i have heard that the BMC does nothing at the end...

TTDA VTDA and V storm? is what seems to be performing well from what i hear lately...

i gues theres no standard on this...

heard some good comments about the VFlow too...the sound from the blow off valce is a lot louder they say with it...and its performance is very good too...maybe better than the TTDA they say
