Hi guys,
My Leon Has gone back to the finance company as i can no longer afford to keep it.
So needed to buy something else that i didnt have to pay per month.

Had a look around and found this

I couldnt afford to buy a WRX or turbo variant, so opted for the cheaper alternative. The sport.

It not good dropping so much on the power side, but i have a thing for scoobies, so its good to get into it. Gonna turn it into a turbo rep, then sell up in order to get a turbo.

Comments welcome please XD

For the eagle eyed amongst you, you will have noticed that the Leon is sat next to it, but dont be fooled...It has now gone.

i didnt say cheaper to run ^^.

I was paying an arm and a leg to keep the leon as it was on hire purchase.

I need a car that i could call my own.

So gave the car back and bought a scoob.

I know it drinks the fuel, but i dont travel far at all. So its no problem.

looks like a pretty tidy example, they might not have the outright power but the Sports are still quick enough in the twisties to be fun.

Please don't turn it into a turbo rep though! There is nothing worse than a sport with a bonnet scoop :(

Save the money ready for when you get the turbo and then you can spend it on some decent toys for that (or just petrol . . lol)

Im wanting to turn it into a turbo rep, because i very much doubt ill be able to afford a turbo for a while.

In my defence, its exactly the same as when people turn a Cupra to look like a Cupra R. People say dont bother and just buy a Cupra R, but thats not the point.

Its just Styling.

Besides, with the Scooby, the Sport as standard is not worth very much, however, you mod it slightly and the appeal increases. Meaning it makes a little more money. Not much, but enough to cover the mods.

The only bit of the rep process I (personally) think is a no-no is the bonnet scoop - its like sticking M3 badges on a 318, but thats just my opinion chap... you should do whatever makes you enjoy the car more, at the end of the day your opinion is the only one that matters!

yea no worries.

That was the car when i first got it,
Have since fitted Clear Side repeaters a version 5 Spoiler, magnex center section and a Ninja backbox.

Got a facelift Bumper and grill in the shed ready to be stripped and painted, then look at de-tangoing the front end. Dont see much point at the moment.

Tow bar is coming off aswell. but couldnt get it off myself, so leaving it to the profs who will charge anything up to £60.

I so wanted a scooby, part of me still does. But I know how much they cost to run each week even when taking it steady (may friends have or have had one). But I'm still working on the wife, but she seems more happy to let me tinker ith my LC and change cars again.

Hope you like the motor - review and pics required!

yea will do.

Figures at the moment stand at 215bhp with 200lb-ft.

Sure i can do better :D

It has an interior from a special edition Scoob.

I have always wanted a scoob since i was a boy. And although the Scooby Sport looked the part, i didnt feel the part as it had very little power.

Fuel economy is not too great, however im led to believe that the Turbo variants are slightly more economical than the Sports. From what friends say.

My friend as a scooby running just over 350bhp you can imagine what that's like on fuel, can easy empty a half a tank if not more within half hour, having a good play.

Shame you had to get rid of your leon. Hope you enjoy your scooby and gets some pictures up soon.
