I don’t think that this is possible - when based in Germany with RHD car, the lights originally passed the light test due to the ‘no requirement’ for beam deflectors or tourist mode quote in the owners manual. However, they then became much stricter as LED lights became more popular and insisted on swapping the units to LHD units - I had VCDS at the time and it wasn’t possible to code them cf. flat-beaming xenon lights.
A few questions:
How long have you owned the car?
Has the car passed an MOT previously? It shouldn’t have passed!
Has the unit been incorrectly fitted post failure or damage?
If you could argue that it was the incorrect one fitted from new you probably have a case via SEAT. Take a look at the
sticker on the unit - if it has the full VAG part number then you have a slim chance.
Replacement Valeo units are available via ECP c£800 (or less using discount codes) vs £1000-1200 for OEM stamped. Valeo are the OEM for the lights and I’ve replaced loads of Hella/Valeo units on VAG cars from ECP.
