Interesting, mine is stock.

I've kept up with a CooperS, ST170 (until about 100 when he started to edge it), 320d's are easy, 180bhp Leon.

LCRs... I've come off a slip road before with one behind me and we both went. Not sure how hard he was trying but again it was near 100 that he came by but not as much as I would have thought.

Couple of nights back I had a LCR in front of me going up a dual carrigeway (same one Mr Sheerin had a play with a LCR in his PD150R) and at the bottom of the hill I thought I could have got past him and that he was't trying I kept with him for quite a while but he did pull away. I presumed he was only using half his revs or something. Spoke to him last ight (works on same biz park) and asked if he was trying, said he was and was surprised that mine was only 150bhp and a DIEsel. Even said mine was "fast"!

PD150R must be very close to LCR I think.

anything with the same or similar bhp/wieght as yours off the lights

I reckon with his extra torque he could take on cars over 200bhp. See my examples. I also tracked down the CooperS driver on his forum and he was impressed. Knew about PD150's but thought mine wasn't standard.

Traffic light grand prix's aren't really the forte of these cars though....... 1st seems way too short.

I've had some excellent scraps on motorways with a Cooper S (binned him easilly), a red Leon TDi Cupra in milton keynes (only just edged him away but don't know if he was standard), a Focus RS (right with him to about 120 then I got this sharp pain in my side when the Mrs woke up, saw the RS, checked the speedo and lashed out - in that order! I don't think there was much in it between the cars though), various BMW's though the 2.8's and up seem to be hard work, and sat really easilly on the backside of a Fiat Uno Turbo that was mod'ed to the nines when I was four up, full of luggage on my way up to Leeds with the lads (top place for totty). He looked well p*ssed when I went past at 130 and he saw the TDi badge!

Obviously all of this was done on private roads!! lol

Just had a play with the same LCR on the same road, this time me in front.

I gunned it off the roundabout and went, he seemed to get along side fairly quickly but couldn't get by. Ended up I had to ease off to let him by as I was about to go though a ghost island at about 100mph.

Think his is broken.

Check this interesting thread too, http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=68859 shows what Revo can do.

Haven't we already had this question or at least something very similar from you before in the past?

I find that very suprising because my best mate has an LCR. He was behind me when we wont off a round about...Both floored it reached 80mph and he overtook me and he was gone.

there are many storys, ive heard, remapped leons beating 182 clios etc, but the amout of torque a remapped diesel cupra/FR has is great, has more than the R wich makes me happy

Aye, I since think his was broken seeing as he's changed it...for a 2.4 V6 Hyundai Coupe...

A Hyundai.

I worry about remapping. I know my mates PD100 Beeza with Revo is as quick as mine but people say they can match LCR's with PD150 Revo'd. I've not had that much trouble with one yet. Quicker yes but not until silly speeds.

i know wieght is a isssue with them weighing 200kgs less!

all revo quote (i know people have had more!) can stripped out car etc etc !!

this is based on revo quoted figure and manufacturers weight! a level ground!!

150pd 190bhp 1333kg 143bhp/tonne 217lb-ft/tonne
100pd 150bhp 1180kg 127bhp/tonne 185lbs-ft/tonne
130pd 170bhp 1200kg 141bhp/tonne 233lbs-ft/tonne
160pd 195bhp 1200kg 162bhp/tonne 250lbs-ft/tonne
FAB VRS 170bhp 1315kg 129bhp/tonne

standard 225 1376kg 163bhp/tonne 170lbs-ft/tonne

so a leon 150 is faster than a 100pd
130pd is about as quick as a 150pd leon

also fabia vrs???

P.s this is outright performance in a striaght line, torque is a different story!!

all the diesels have more torque than the LCR which would cause them concern initialally if caught unawhere

plz stop i'm faster than this debates look up figures and facts and you should know! esp when it come too diesel it's silly!

I had a good run with an early boxster last year, right up to 120 I was with him, then some old gimmer pulled out & it was over, very fast, thank god for good brakes

According to the calculator, my Jabba mapped mk4 runs at 148.95bhp per ton

Porsche Boxster (2.5) 97 205 1260 165.31

Having the remap adds fun, especialy when the car is quite standard looking, I like pissing off X-Type drivers in their poor mans jags, as well as 323 morons.

My PD150 is stock but his PD100 has Revo, not much in it. Mine comes by though.
