Hi,

Test drove an FR today and both myself and my wife thought wow!! The engine is smooth and picks up well from low rev's. Cabin is much improved from the pre FL Leon, Dual Climate control from the New Golf, Highline display from the Golf, quality chunky steering wheel feels solid. Some plastics are hard and a little low rent in places. Car is a little hard over speed bumps but the rest of the time is firm but not harsh. Wife never liked Seat's and is now a true convert had a bring grin on her face driving the Seat. Performance is plentiful and holds the road very well.

Had a long unescorted test drive even using McDoanlds drive through as a test of it' s ability to pick up food :D

We test drove a BMW 120d coupe next and I left the wife to test drive that one, as I have had 3 1er's in a row 120d, 116i and FL 118d. But she said the BM was nice just felt slower and not as much fun more grown up. Options were also alot more expensive we have gone for bluetooth and convnience pack and will pick it up March 1st.

Sadly our local Seat dealer would not give any discount so I have ordered it through seatdirect.co.uk. Very prompt and effcient service and paid £17827 OTR took 30 mins to place order and sort finance out. Roll on March 1st

Congrats, Nice choice.
I had a test drive of one back in August and thought it was a great engine for a diesel.
I,m sure you will be well happy, just got to wait now.

Thanks the VAG engine is as good as the BMW diesel lump in my 118d and in some respects felt smoother . It is a long wait but better to have it as the weather improves and get some more miles out of the Cadillac which feels like a bus in comparison

Great Choice. I picked mine up a month ago. I went for exactly the same options, the bluetooth is great and, as sad as it sounds, it makes me smile when it rains and the wipers turn themselves on.

I've almost done 2000 miles now and the engine's loosened up nicely. Only slight issue is the engine is so much smoother than my old mondeo with a transit diesel engine that you don't realise how quick your travelling!

We found that out on our test drive :p our current caddy with the Fiat/GM 1.9 TID 150 lump is so much more vocal and vibrates so much more, it not a bad engine but feels like a tractor in comparison see pic below!!. I had auto lights/wipers on my BM and the lights were great but the wipers bugged me a little.
