just got it yesterday, very pleased with it although i think there may be a problem, the car is only 2005 with 10k on it, and when i accelerate hard the rev counter goes up a bit then back down before the car goes ? sounds like a slipping clutch but the car only has 10k and was serviced last month ?? any ideas

yep, deffo sounds like a clutch or maybe someting wrong with the self adjustment. At 10k its gotta stil be on its first clutch and that cant be worn already??

I'd go to the Seat dealership as it should still be under warranty - as long as it's been serviced right....

PS, nice car - I think I prefer that yellow to my black one

very nice car, gonna be a job to keep it looking that clean!! My clutch went through a patch of slipping similar to yours at about 35k but it's fine now (46k). If it is the clutch you might as well get get it replaced with an uprated drive disc and pressure plate and to make use of the new bits, get a remap and other stuff and then to make use of the new power you might as well get the suspension tweaked and ARB's and braces and then....fabia wiper and then.............aero wipers and then..............................................................
