Leon fr clutch slave location?

I have a 60 plate 170 fr. I have clutch pedal issues when hot and looking to replace the slave cylinder.

Garage say its inside the gear box(££), but googling say its attached externally under the battery tray.

Can anyone clarify please?

Yeah it's a concentric slave cylinder on your particular model so the gearbox needs to come off to replace it.

Yep it's gearbox off.

Which usually means doing the clutch and possibly the DMF as well.
