I was having a look round my work car park and noticed that there is at least one of every era of Leon represented.

What struck me though was how good they look so many years after initial development. This just shows how good the design team behind them must be.

Here's my personal take on all of them.

MK1: now 25 years old and has such a mean and aggressive stance particularly in the Cupra/FR face-lift models. The rear let's it down a little but overall still a striking looking car.

Mk2 now 17 years old, the front let's the car down but from the front windscreen back, the car looks great and easily looks better than a 4/5 year old Astra/Focus/Ceed etc.

MK3 now 10 years old and the car looks as fresh today as the day the first one rolled off the production line. IMO this is probably the best looking Leon from every angle and the higher spec models still turn heads.

MK4: current model the most 'premium' looking Leon on the market, it very much gives luxury hatch vibes and looks a lot more striking than the A3/Golf/Focus/1 Series competition. This Leon may age quicker than previous models if the coast to coast light bar is a short lived trend but IMO is currently one of the best looking cars currently in its class.

What does everyone else think?

I agree. The mk1 looks retro and classic, so can’t go wrong 👌🏼 The mk2’s grill isn’t my cup of tea, so that puts me off. The mk3 is the best looking in my opinion, but I’m being biased; I have a mk3 Leon Cupra 280 which still has me looking back at it after I’ve parked it 😍 Not much for the mk4 though. I think they tried a bit too hard. Too many sharp lines and creases, but I do like the rear light bar. If only the mk3 had had the rear light bar.

And what’s wrong with my butt?:ROFLMAO:
Mk1’s all the way for me ( obviously biast)
Mk3’s nice, would have an estate, sorry ST as a daily if I I could.
mk4. Cupra nice with the right wheels, the rest a bit blink and you’ll miss it I think. But a hell of a lot better looking than a lot of new cars that have more lines and creases than a peice of A4 been folded a dozen times.

All good minus the Mk2 which is an ugly duckling.

The Mk4 does anybody even own one. I don't think i have ever seen one in the flesh

My favourites are the mk1 and mk3. I remember looking around a mk1 Cupra not long after getting a mk4 Golf and wondered if I’d made the wrong choice.

I was never a fan of the mk2 and IMHO mk4 has lost the mk3’s sharp looks and styling and is quite anonymous looking.

Bit like my thoughts on the Ford Capri. Love the mk1 & mk3. But considered the mk2 very bland looking.
