Leon Cupra R Squeaks & Rattles - Help!

Bought a Cupra R a couple of weeks ago, and it is perfect apart from two things.

An annoying rattle from the glovebox region and a squeak which seems to come from behind the dashboard where the speedo etc is located.

The weird thing is that the squeaking only seems to happen when it is a warm day, or has at least warmed up a little by driving for a few hours (never happens first thing on a morning unless a very hot day). As for the rattle from the glove compartment area that happens almost all the time, but it less annoying than the squeaking.

After inspecting the car as far as I can without using a screwdriver, I am at a complete loss as to what or where exactly the noises are/caused by.

Does anybody have any experience of these faults, I assume most Leons don't suffer from this as I has struggled to find anthing on the net so far apart from what is already on this site?

If I can't fix the rattles/squeaks myself it will have to go to the dealer I suppose, but who knows if they will find the problem either?!!

i had a similar noise on mt LCR. I sprayed dry lube around the instrument pack and surrounding dash panels,worked a treat.The rattle could be in the glove nox where the cd changer goes (trim surround). Mine was loose but never rattled.Are the fixing screws tight??

Just remembered I never got around to checking the responses to this thread!

I eventually went to my local SEAT dealer as theproblem was driving me insane.

They spent a day taking the entire dashboard, glovebox etc apart and solved the problem.

It turns out a loose 'cross member' was to blame. It was re-installed and is no longer an issue I'm glad to say. I guess it was due to somedody at the factory being in 'Friday' mood!

I picked up my first Leon Cupra R last night and I've noticed a few things... I'm getting quite a weird rattle coming from somewhere near the parcel shelf and a rattle/vibration coming from the centre console around the CD player... also, the heated rear window button sticks in. I know they're anal little things but the car's not even 2 years old - if I take it to a local SEAT will they sort these things (even though they're small)?
