i'm sure someone wrote a quick guide about this, I'll see if i can find it,

Let me know how much they are when you do, as I need to order another one, as mine is battered.

They are £20 to buy off ebay at the moment and if you could find that guide to fitting that would be great! cheers

it could easily be fitted with the bumper on but i removed mine because i couldn't be bothered crawling about under the car. its not a big job taking off the bumper and once its off just attach the splitter with some screws.

remember to cut off the 2 clips that stick up in the middle of the splitter before you start.

I strolled into the Seat dealership last Tuesday, bought a few items incuding the Leon splitter, which was £17.63, £20.72 incl. VAT.

I didnt have much of a clue what i was doing regarding the fitting, but i figured it cant be too difficult.

Put my car on the ramp at home just to make things a little easier, and single handedly offered the splitter up to the bumber, taped it on first of all to check positioning etc, cut the centre peices out, and then used my brothers dewalt to drill through the splitter and into the bottom layer of the bumper. Making sure the self tapping screws wern't pertruding through, i just simply screwed the splitter into the bumper. Adding a few extra screws inbetween just to make sure its secure.

Few people have mentioned about not using too many screws incase you clip a speed bump or something and you'd want the splitter to come off not the entire bumper, but i drive sensibly so made sure the splitter was on nice and secure.

Final thing, just clip the ends of the splitter with some snips or similiar. I took about an inch off each end.

Sorted!

It really is simple, and gives great satisfaction when done! And im not the most practical of people, architect by trade so this make anyone capable!

I found pabs' guide the most useful Clicky

Even though it's for a Leon Cupra it's the same principle and the pictures are better and description clearer than the Mk4 guide.

There really is no need to take the bumper off. Either put in on ramps / axle stands if you have them or find a quiet kerb you get park the car over.
