Afternoon all!

Have had my LCR a few weeks now, absolutely love it! I love the grunt and the noise it makes, awesome! Its mauled an Astra Coupe Turbo, slaughtered several BMWs, and made a complete mess of countless idiot boy racers!

My only concern is the lift off oversteer I get on long fast corners.
Its probably just that i'm used to my Passat which had a heavier back end and softer suspension.
Its not extreme, but a little concerning when I'm taking a fast a-road corner and I have to lift off for slow traffic ahead and the back starts twitching.

I'm getting a bit used to it now by keeping the power level throughout the bend, but there are times where you need to slow down suddenly, and all that momentum on stiff suspension has to shift the weight somewhere!

Would lowering the rear tyre pressure help?

Being in a higher gear round the corner means the revs don't drop as fast when lifting which will help stop the back from twitching.

tyre pressures, worn out shocks or dare I say it - driver ability would all contribute to this

my money would be on the rear shocks.

Yeah, avoiding being abrupt is a good idea - but you can't always.

A rear ARB helps a LOT.

Unless your really pushing you shouldn't really get it (presuming it's in the dry)! Although it may feel that the back does want to break away due to the boaty behaviour of the standard suspension set-up!

I would check dampers for any signs of leakage and check your tyre pressures as already said!

Lift-off overstear is just something you get with nose-heavy, front engined, front wheel drive cars. You notice it more becuase you are not used to the power. What you actualy have is power understeer - and a car that is designed to feel right that way - that goes away when you lift off. You just have to get used to correcting your steering as you lift off. It becomes automatic.

Its probably just that I'm pushing it pretty hard because I'm still stoked by it!
General handling is excellent, round sharp corners and windy roads, its just when you're taking a long corner that you can take at 70+ you notice it.

Its not a problem, but could be if I really needed to stop and the back was still eager to keep going!!

I'll get it checked out at my bros garage and if anything needs to be done i'll take it to the dealer.

Thats why you should have a balanced throttle through corners, but like you said if there is someone in the way and you brake hard on a corner I would think you would get this on most cars.
