Been thinking of getting some nice 4 pot calipers and was wondering if the Brembo’s from the Leon Cupra R would fit straight onto the Mk2 Ibiza Cupra Sport 16v or will they need brackets made up?

Since the discs are 280mm, I was just thinking of upgrading the calipers and having drilled and grooved discs.

Was thinking of just the calipers and leaving the standard discs. I know someone who can make up brackets because he usually uses Brembo from Seat's and make the brackets up to fit.

But I was just thinking would they fit onto an Ibiza without making brackets, or did some Mk3 Ibiza's come with Brembo's?

Wasn't sure on the size of the discs on the leon but was looking at my mate's cossie the other day and noticed they were only 283mm and had 4 pot calipers. So if I was to change to Brembo would you recommend changing the discs to?

mark 3 cupra R ibiza had brembos , i believe a 305mm disc

ur standard ones are 280mm*22mm (20minimum)

anything like this would be a custom job, mixing and matching parts , surely theres an off the shelf kit u can buy , was it not a golf front end on ur shape of car

Not too sure, think it's all Golf Mk2 chassis, I know the lower arms are Golf Mk2 but I've heard that the calipers on the Mk2 Ibiza are the same as the Golf VR6

Was just thinking that If I could get a second hand set from the newer Ibiza or Leon then it may have worked out a bit cheaper  Doesn't look it new lol.

Cheers mate! ;)

Haven't seen much of him to ask him and had a word with his old man a while ago back in the summer but he needed to have the car & the calipers for a day or two. He can make them fit just gotta make up brackets but was hoping I wouldn't need them :)
