it a diesle buddy! don't woory it'll be normal you've got around 180-190 so 140-145 (speedo not actual) .is top speed but it'lll take a while to get there! it's fast up to 120 mph don't need to go faster than this

remember you also to to slow down if something is pulling out!

plus put it in 5th first cos if foot is down in 6th from 100mph to 140 the temps will be very high!

also if you have gear ratios like me 140-5 is prob max speed it's geared for acceleration not top speed!

I had 145 on the speedo before I thought about tyres blowing out & what would happen.

I think at speeds a lot less than 145mph and you may be in trouble with a blown tyre...!

Once you hit a certain speed the aerodynamics will start coming into effect and you'll need more power to defeat the drag and weight of the car, hence it taking so longer to accellerate in comparison to a lower speed.

I know all about the drag. Skoda designed my car to do no more than 115, then along comes little me and puts an engine in it capable of reaching 115 damn fast and keep going! 140, and it starts damn whistling and shreeking - not sure if its the front bumper, wing mirrors or just general nasty aerodynamics! Its enough to make me back off anyway. A constant 130 is fast enough really.
