Leon Cupra Engine upgrades

Hi All

I have recently purchased a 2002 Leon Cupra. I've wanted one for a few years, and finally had enough to get one. :)

I managed to spend a bit less than I originally intended though, so I have a few £££ to spend on extras.

I'm only really interested in engine upgrades, as cosmetically the car looks fantastic in the standard bodykit, wheels, etc.

So really I'm looking for advice on what will make the best difference to performance, engine sound, air intake, etc?

I've looked at numerous induction kits, cold air intakes, dump valves (I really like the ones by Forge), but as you all know, there are a lot of options, and I really think the car deserves the best.

Cheers

Thanks all, most useful.

Gonna ask for some more now, I take it you all have had a re-map?

Where have you had it done, and roughly how many pennies are we talking here?

Also, as well as the forge dump valve, anyone got any other manufacturer reccomendations for induction kits? I know all the big boys do them, such as K&N and Pipercross, but have heard that Green do some quality kit too. (Not that I can find any for Leon's)

I may ask for a lot, just want to get it right thats all!

Cheers

Forge dump won't do much for you when standard, its just advised if you get a remap as the original plastic valve will split. Forge has a lifetime guarantee.

Agree that getting a remap is your cheapest and best result. Plenty of different options from different suppliers. Expect to spend about 350 to 450 quid

The popular choices are CARBONIO, BMC CDA, RAMAIR or GREEN DYNATWIST Induction kits but you can achieve similar results if just smooth you airbox and stick a Green panel filter in it and a cold air duct!!
