Leon Cupra - engine light and low power

Hi folks

I've tried many a search, but have yet to find consistent answers to this, so here goes...!

Just lately, the engine warning symbol thingy has been lit on my 2001 Cupra. At first this seemed to have no detriment on performance, and a trip to a local specialist with vag-com showed that the only thing wrong was a dodgy temp sensor, which he duly replaced.

But I've now noticed a real lack of 'oomph' from the engine - dosen't feel like the turbo's spooling up properly, and putting pedal to the metal doesn't really throw you back in your seat like it should.

Don't get me wrong - it's not limping about - it's just that there's a definite lack of power compared to the 'norm'.

Anyone got any ideas.....? :help:

Ta - may well look into that, as this problem is driving me nuts.

Also have a feeling it may be a dodgy MAF... :(

Right... that's it

Had enough now - the car is so down on power, I strugled to keep up with some sort of Fiat van off the lights the other day.

Shameful.

Feels like the turbo just isn't spooling up at all, so I'm on the lookout for a new MAF and a new N75 valve.

If it doesn't sort the problem, I'll be hitting Autotrader for that Volvo C70 T5 I've been considering...... :censored:
