Leon Cupra 290 no OPF - exhaust setup for best sound with minimal drone

Hi, I have a 290 cupra 2016 (no OPF) with a vagsport resdelete but I now want more sound (and better).

I already have some drone around 3000rpm and I can live with it but I don’t want more (less would be even better).

I’d like to get your opinion on the setup that would best suit my goal. Best sound with least drone.

I’m leaning toward a custom catback with valves (car is stock, and OEM DP) but I would appreciate advice on:

- diameter of the pipe (OEM or bigger, seen milltek setup at 76mm)
- resonator delete or muffler delete (valves will be on the remaining part) to get the best sound with limited drone

76mm is the staple for up to stage 2, you should consider a 80 downpipe/76 cat back if you plan on going stage 3.
Don't go for a muffler delete, you could end up with more drone.
I'd recommend keeping the res delete and fitting a 76mm catback with a valved rear muffler.
