Just need some advice - middle box on my exhaust is split along the seam and blowing. It's the seam along the side of the silencer. Absolutely nothing else wrong with it. I'm going to try putting a weld along it but suspect the mild steel too thin for that and likely to melt straight through. Seems a waste to replace it when there's naff all else wrong with it. What options are there to replace but stay standard? I don't want it noisy as it's my daily but i seem to remember checking prices a while ago and they are obscene for a genuine part and i don't recall ever finding anyone who supplies pattern parts for this part of the exhaust.
