leon cupra 1.8t or cupra tdi???? Plz Help

can any one help me decide which leon to have,
do i buy the 1.8t or the tdi 150bhp?????
which one is better?

What do you want from the car......? I have the leon FR+ TDI and i love it but still miss my petrol 1.8t ibiza do you need decent MPG, do you do many miles, is fuel and running costs an issue?

i want power.... at the moment i have a mk4 golf gt tdi it has 140bhp, but i am bored of it, i do do a few miles and thats all that iam worryin about if i buy a petrol, i just dnt know wat to do? the cost of runnin a petrol does n doesnt bother me, i am just confused thats y i had to ask the question to see wat everyone thinks i should do.

yea its one or the other, from the start 1.8t was the one i wanted cuz i wanted somethin different from a diesel, diesels dnt sound as nice as a petrol

Yeah, but they suffer from Heat Soak, and you really want cold air coming in, (suppose spending the extra on a cold air fed induction kit would be OK though)

Most people just smooth and drill the box, then use a good quality cotton panel filter, like a Green Cotton or K&N

If you want more power a mapped leon tdi will be around 185bhp and 300ftlbs torque but will still return 50mpg as you do alot of miles, to drive there the same really the diesel is abit heavier on the front tho but standard 180 petrol vs 150 disel there aint much in it i think when they came out there was a test around a track done and the petrol won but a few hundreths, personal choice wether you want the noisy diesel or just a change to a revvy petrol, also the petrol can be mapped to 210-220 odd so would be quicker than a mapped diesel i would have thought.

thanx for advice, do u think if u put a full exhaust system on the diesel it would give it a bit more power, n can u tell me the differance between the fr n the fr+

FR+, from the outside, looks just like a Cupra R (except the wheels are 17" and not 18")

FR looks just like the facelift Cupras, different wheels though

FR+ only available as a TDi, still 150bhp
