Leon 2002 TDi (110hp) Radiator Removal

Has anyone managed to remove/replace a radiator on a Seat Leon 02 TDi (110hp) with air con? Have removed the fans/fan mount to expose the rear of radiator - have also disconnected hoses but need to know how the radiator can be removed?? Does the front bumper need to be removed? I know there is no Haynes Manual available for this model but is there anything available showing how this can be done?

Cheers

I'm currently pondering the exact same problem. The Leons radiator has decided to leak water all over the show. I've got as far as you and am now stumped!! Any ideas greatly appreciated!!

Anyway - LeonsGirlfriend - you do have to remove the front bumper, the headlights (to gain access to the top rad bolts and its a PITA to do, I did mine with no info - ideally it helps if you put the front of the car on ramps so you can have clearance under the car to drop the rad out especially if you have aircon and don't fancy a recharge.
PM mail if you need any other help - I know how much of an @rse it is to do ;)

It took us a day and a half and we did it without any guidance either. As you said, we popped it up onto axle stands and took the front bumper and lights off. Managed to get a radiator from a place in Huddersfield cheap enough and jobs a goodun.

It took much  and :wtf: and  but eventually we got there!!

Sorry for hijacking your post but it was the first one I saw that seemed to be the same problem!!!

Cheers ;)
